Ipedo Launches New BEA Liquid Data Switch Program

Free Migration Helps Customers Preserve Investment in J2EE Enterprise Information Integration (EII) Technology

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., June 14, 2005 – Ipedo, a leading provider of enterprise information integration software, today announced a new "Switch and Save" migration program designed to help BEA Liquid Data for WebLogic customers move to the new Ipedo XIP 4.0 platform. Ipedo XIP 4.0 offers the industry's first dual SQL/XQuery engine, giving it the broadest span of information integration available. Created in response to BEA's announced shift away from Liquid Data for WebLogic, the new migration program enables BEA customers to directly exchange enterprise licenses of BEA Liquid Data for WebLogic for an equal number of licenses of Ipedo XIP, free of charge.

The new migration program meets the growing demand for a more powerful and open EII solution. Ipedo XIP is the logical choice for customers who need J2EE and are currently using XQuery in their applications. Ipedo allows these customers to preserve their investment in Java and XQuery, while also opening up the world of SQL at no additional cost.

• Increased Query Power – Ipedo's unique Dual-Core Query Architecture provides a complete SQL engine, in addition to a complete XQuery engine, giving customers better access to data from existing applications and tools via standard SQL/JDBC connections.
• Platform Flexibility – Ipedo XIP is a J2EE-compliant server that runs with BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, JBoss and Apache Tomcat, giving customers flexibility to run their integration across multiple application servers.
